HANOI, March 16 (Bernama) — Masterchef France 2015 winner, Huynh Khanh Ly will visit Hanoi to introduce and promote Vietnamese and French cuisines under the framework of Francophonie Day, on March 20, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
Ly will be in Hanoi for a week from Friday on the invitation of the French Embassy in Vietnam. On Saturday, Ly will participate in Francophone Day celebrations being held at Hanoi National University and instruct the audience on how to make some French dishes.
On March 21, Ly along with chef Alain Dutournier will cook for a dinner party at the French Embassy in Vietnam, which will include Vietnamese alumni who studied in France and students who want to pursue culinary, tourism or wine studies.
Ly, whose parents are Vietnamese, was born in 1991 in France. She pursued law as a major; however, she had always been passionate about cooking and is a well-known chef in France.
Ly won Masterchef France 2015 and pursued the study of restaurant management at Paul Bocuse Institute, France. In 2016, she released a cookbook featuring 45 recipes.
