PETALING JAYA, Mar 16: The iron-fisted leadership of DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and his son Lim Guan Eng, who is also secretary-general OF the party, is the main reason why many DAP members quit, said former DAP vice-chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim.

He said many DAP members in Penang, Selangor, Johor and Melaka would leave the party out of dissatisfaction with the party leadership which was controlled by the father and son.

“Kit Siang and Guan Eng cannot accept any opinion or suggestion which is not in concert with them…. it’s based on my experience when I was a member of the party.

“They sow fear among the members of the party but their way only adds to the internal problems to the point many are resorting to leaving the party, “he claimed at a press conference on the DAP leadership, here, yesterday.

On March 12, 182 DAP members in Melaka quit the party after citing unhappiness at the attitude of the DAP top leadership. The same thing happened in Sabah last month when 40 DAP members quit to join a Barisan Nasional component party there.
