After the cold winter season, trees sprout and nice warm spring season appears and many tourists all over the world come to Japan to see cherry blossoms, or sakura.

Sakura blooms all over Japan, and the best season for sakura blooms in Tokyo is around the end of March to the beginning of April.
However, in Hokkaido it blooms from end of April to mid-May, while at Tohoku, it flowers from mid- to end of April.
You can visit these places to view sakura blossoms during your stay in Japan.
Matsuri is the Japanese word for a festival or holiday. There are no specific matsuri days for all of Japan for they vary from area to area, and even within a specific area.
Every locale has at least one matsuri in late summer to early autumn, which is usually related to the rice harvest.
The Matsuri Festival celebrations include cultural highlights such as making sushi. Observe how sushi is made.
Aside from the snow architecture and skiing, the Matsuri Snow Festival during winter features a variety of events for young and old. This includes concerts, culinary happenings, snowball fights, snow slides, ice bars and more.
This year, JNTO will introduce the Matsuri Festival celebrations to all Malaysians, with a three-day showcase – during the MATTA Fair in Kuala Lumpur – that immerses visitors to the cultures and traditions unique to Japan.
Culture and activities range from the traditional to the contemporary.
