This May Be How the Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus Will Look Like

Samsung’s next flagship smartphones are not expected to be launched anytime soon, but as is always the case with highly anticipated devices, leaked material – including renders and CAD schematics – surrounding the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are aplenty. Not too long ago, a video render based on these leaked information was released too, which should give us good idea of how these two phones will look like.

The video below came courtesy of OnLeaks and GearIndia, and as they put it, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus shown in the video were “based on factory CADs” of the respective devices.

In the video, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have a single button on the right side of the device, which should be the power button; the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have their power buttons on the right, after all. The left side of the S8 and S8 Plus, on the other hand, is more interesting: there’s another button below the volume rocker. More likely than not, this is the rumoured dedicated button for Samsung’s very own AI Assistant, Bixby.

But it’s the “all-screen” front design of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus that is the most eye-catching. Because of the very minimal bezels, it appears the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the devices – it appears to be right beside the camera, which isn’t the most ergonomic position.

Another alleged image of the Galaxy S8; note the very minimal bezel.

These leaked material are certainly interesting, and though they’re not confirmed by Samsung itself, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is the final design of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Regardless, Samsung will reportedly launch its next flagship phones in late March 2017.
